A new series

A competition in which the dynamic qualities of the brand's new sports car stand out, which with just a few modifications can offer dynamism and character on the track.
Considering project experience Aprilia Sport Production with young two-wheel aces in action on compacts RS 250 SP, aprilia-racing with the Italian Motorcycling Federation organize this new context for talents.
The first edition of the Trophy is present in the program of CIV – Italian Speed ​​Championship and includes six races over five weekends. The first appointment is scheduled for Misano il 16 May 2021, stages are subsequently scheduled a Imola il 4 July; to Misano il 25 July with a double comparison; to the Mugello il August 29th and Vallelunga il 10 October.
A day of pre-season testing is planned for March where the drivers already registered for the Aprilia Racing Area, but also those interested in participating in the Trophy will be able to test the new one Aprilia RS 660 Trophy. The information and forms will be available from Monday 25 January on the portal www.bkcorse.com, for the formula “Aprilia Racing Area” and for "Challenge", as reported.

The motorcycle

Il Racing department of the Noale brand intervened specifically on the road model to define the Trofeo version of the RS 660.
Adopt Öhlins suspensions, Brembo brakes with dedicated racing pads, specific Sprint Filter air filter and SC Project exhaust, adding a Cruciata Racing fairing in fiberglass and Spider Racing components, reporting the indications. Optimized the weight/power ratio, considering 153 kg dry and a push of 105 horses.
The painting is carried out by Carrozzeria Zanasi, partner of Aprilia Racing in MotoGP and for the special series. Moving on to ergonomics, it is a vehicle designed for use on the track, taking into account the lower clip-on handlebars and the rear footrests. The tires are Pirelli, used Supercorsa V3 SC1 tires. The setup is similar for all and only adjustments to the set-up are allowed, without further interventions or modifications.

The championship

The new Aprilia Racing RS 660 Trophy it will be able to feature pilots of a starting age from 15 years and up to 42 bikes lined up on the starting grid.
A formula reminiscent of the Italian FMI Aprilia Sport Production Championship, but in this case 21 bikes (half of the places available) are managed directly by Aprilia Racing with the support of the BK Corse structure. Trophy participants can purchase an "all inclusive" package by entering the "Aprilia Racing Area" with all motorcycle preparation and maintenance services, followed by qualified technicians and mechanics. Participants will be assigned through a draw, again underlining equal treatment to enhance the talent expressed. The entrance into “Aprilia Racing Area” has a cost of 34.900 euros plus VAT, including:

– Registration for the Aprilia Racing RS 660 Trophy;
– Availability of the motorbike and related management for all race weekends and pre-season tests; – Technical support and telemetry analysis with dedicated technicians;
– Supply of petrol, tires and consumables;
– Hospitality and catering service in the paddock;
– Teamwear clothing kit;
– Deductible of 2000 euros on recovery from falls;
– Seasonal photo shoot.

For the winner of the Trophy there is also a road version of Aprilia RS 660, as reported.
An opportunity is also provided for those who want to independently manage their motorbike on the track, which can be purchased in the "race ready" version for a sum of 17.950 euros, VAT included. An alternative also suitable for gentlemen riders of different ages and more or less experienced. A special race and championship ranking reserved for them "Challenge".
