Triumph Tiger Sport 660: a summary of the features [VIDEO]

In a video proposed by Official Triumph Motorcycles the characteristics of the new one are described on YouTube Triumph Tiger Sport 660.

Aerodynamic line

A model characterized by LED-type headlights and fluid, sculpted shapes, ranging from the aerodynamic front to the minimalist tail. There are three color combinations: Lucerne Blue and Sapphire Black; Korosi Red and Graphite with graphics; Graphite and Black. The rear-view mirrors, the protections for the fork legs, the side panels located to protect the radiator and the exhaust terminal at the bottom define a compact and refined vision. Also indicated are various Original Triumph Accessories that can be connected to the model including: rigid side bags in body color of 29 liters on the right and 28 liters on the left as well as a large 47 liter top case. Possible technological solutions also include a My Triumph Connectivity system, heated grips, progressive directional indicators, Triumph Shift Assist bidirectional electronic gearbox and tire pressure control.

Technique and technology

Along with the compact chassis is a Showa da front upside down unit 41 millimeters with 150 mm of travel, while at the back there is an adjustable monoshock shock absorber for riding in pairs or single with manageable preload. The braking system equipped with ABS features a double floating disc at the front 310 mm and Nissin 2-piston calipers and in the rear area a disc 255 mm and single-piston Nissin caliper. The aluminum wheels are 17-inch with a 5-spoke design, dressed in original equipment Michelin Road 5 tyres. The step extends for 1.418 mm and the pilot's seat is at a height of 835 mm, considering a double saddle designed to accommodate a passenger.
Characterizing aspects also include a one-hand height-adjustable windscreen, a sculpted tank that can accommodate up to 17 liters of fuel and supports for rigid side bags integrated into the tail profile. The side cases can each accommodate a full face helmet and the aforementioned 47-litre top box can accommodate two integral ones.
The multi-function instrumentation is visible on one TFT color screen which can be connected with the aforementioned My Triumph Connectivity system to have arrow navigation or manage the GoPro action cam, along with other features. It can be operated using the handlebar controls.
Among the solutions we also mention: an anti-slipper clutch with a control lever designed to avoid fatigue, two riding modes opting between Road e Rain and traction control that can be turned off.

Thruster

To the three-cylinder engine from 660 cc approved Euro 5 a ride-by-wire accelerator and an optimized 6-speed gearbox are linked. The maximum power is 81 horses at 10.250 rpm and peak torque of 64 Nm at 6.250 rpm. Also reported depower kit for those who have a driving licence A2.
