The new overview Triumph Tiger 1200 includes five models. Bikes with which you can explore wide-ranging, including two new top versions: Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer e Tiger 1200GT Explorer equipped with tank 30 liters. A summary of the characteristics can be seen in the video proposed by Official Triumph Motorcycles on Youtube.

Several variations

The shapes appear tapered, contained, essential. A symbiosis between superstructures and mechanical components that defines a sculpted and at the same time elegant picture. An adjustable windshield stands out even when moving and hand guards can be seen for the different models, ranging from the access model Tiger 1200GT, passing through the other versions GTPro e RallyPro all with tank 20 liters, up to the ones already mentioned Tiger 1200GT Explorer e Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer with larger tank.
Characteristic is the front light signature LED with DRL, while solutions such as Adaptive Cornering Lights and heated grips are present on the various versions with the exception of the Triumph Tiger 1200 GT. Other distinctive aspects are the aluminum protective elements, differentiated by appearance and development. On the Tiger 1200 GT Explorer and Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer there are protective bars for the engine and in the case of the latter they extend up to the tank area. Solutions that can be added to other variants based on requests.
Explorer models are also equipped with a tire pressure monitor and heating for the driver and passenger seats. Saddle height can vary from 850 a 870 millimeters if we consider the examples of Tiger 1200 GT, GT Pro and GT Explorer; while moving on to the Rally Pro and Rally Explorer models the height changes from 875 a 895 mm.
The instrumentation is visible on a screen TFT da seven inches with My Triumph Connectivity System via Bluetooth®. Among the interesting solutions we also mention a cornering traction control, different driving modes (five for the GT range and six for the Rally Pro and Rally Explorer models with a dedicated Off-Road Pro mode), Triumph Shift Assist and Hill Hold, except for the Triumph Tiger 1200 GT model. Speaking only of the top models GT Explorere and Rally Explorer, we note the adoption of a Triumph Blind Spot Radar system developed together with Continental which provides a Blind Spot Assist function, a warning of the presence of a vehicle in the blind spot through a radar located in the rear area, then another Lane Change Assist function which alerts the motorcyclist during a lane change.
Among the possible options, a low saddle is also worth mentioning as an accessory for a reduction in the figure of 20 mm, according to the indications.

Technology

The central area of the frame and the seat itself have been defined in such a way as to facilitate the resting of the feet on the ground. The handlebar is 20 mm wider than the previous figure and on the Triumph 1200 GT Explorer and Rally Explorer models it is raised by 16 mm for the benefit of a more supported position.
Another interesting factor is the weight reduction. It highlights a tubular steel frame that is more compact and 5,4 kg lighter, associated with aluminum stabilizers and a rear subframe still in aluminium. Further weight has been saved thanks to the use of aluminum to also develop the tank and the double-sided rear swingarm.
The suspension part on the Tiger 1200 GT, GT Pro and GT Explorer models consists of a Showa front fork with a diameter of 49 mm and semi-active damping, the ride reaches i 200 mm. Behind there is a Showa mono-shock absorber and the ride is always smooth 200 mm, equipped with semi-active damping and automatic electronic preload adjustment. On the Rally Pro and Rally Explorer versions the travel is wider, reaching i 220 mm.
On each version the Brembo Stylema® braking system includes a double front floating disc 320 mm and a single rear disc from 282 mm. A system equipped with Cornering ABS, also considering the work of the IMU inertial platform. However, the dimensions and types of wheel rims change: the GT, GT Pro and GT Explorer versions are combined with aluminum spoke types for 19 e 18 inches which fit like original equipment Metzeler Tourance tyres; while Rally Pro and Rally Explorer, given an even more exploratory nature, are combined with spoked models without an inner tube 21 e 18 inches wearing Matzeler Karoo Street tyres. But the Michelin Anakee Wild is also included in the booklet.
The curb weight of the models varies from 240 kg for a Triumph Tiger 1200 GT to 261 kg for a Rally Explorer version.
