Triumph Street Twin by Pirelli is fitted with the new Phantom Sportscomp tyres

Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp – The historic collaboration between Pirelli and Triumph is renewed with the new Bonneville range equipped with original equipment Phantom Sportscomp tyres. To celebrate the union between two historic brands of international motorcycling, Pirelli and Triumph have created a special on a Street Twin basis.

The Triumph Street Twin by Pirelli presents the livery used by the Bonneville model in 1977, the year of birth of the Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyre, with some elements of graphic customization such as the legendary Pirelli "Scudetto and Stella" logo on the front mudguard and the tread design on the reservoir. The special created by Pirelli and Triumph will be exhibited from 22 to 24 January at the Motor Bike Expo in the Triumph stand in Pavilion 4 Stand R14. The new Phantm Sportscomp was chosen by the Hinckley house as part of the new Bonneville family.

With the new millennium, in 2005, Pirelli has radically revisited the Phantom Sportscomp, combining the sporting origins of the Sportscomp with timeless charm and style, thus giving rise to a Sport Classic line within the Supersport segment. The new tire takes advantage of new millennium technologies and the latest developments in tire manufacturing and design. Now the Phantom Sportscomp is part of a line of historic tires in the Sport Classic Pirelli range, which also includes MT 60 RS and SPORT DEMON, intended to respond to heritage trends and chosen by motorcycle manufacturers and customizers to equip modern cafe racers, medium-sized customs and modern classics. In addition to the 100/90 – 18 front and 150/70 R17 rear set as original equipment to the Triumph Bonneville family, the Sportscomp range is also available in the sizes 120/70 R17 TL 58V front and 180/55 R17 TL 73V rear and in the same sizes, but with a speed index (W) which allows it to be used for classic/vintage style tuning and customization of all sports and naked motorbikes which include the speed index in brackets in the manual. In line with the Sport Classic philosophy, the Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp combines the historic tread design of the Phantom line with the modern technology of high-performance road tires.
