Triumph Street and Daytona 250, the new entry level models from 2015

First spy photo, the style follows its larger sisters, built in India

Triumph is also launching into the low-displacement segment, joining the already present Yamaha, KTM, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki, completing the announcement made by the Hinckley company at Eicma 2013. The positioning and relative positioning is probable debut of the new new entry in the Asian markets, at least initially, where the production plants are also located.

The new motorbike will be proposed in guise naked and faired. The engine should be a 250 cc single cylinder liquid cooled constrained to a very simple trellis frame. The tires, mounted on 17-inch rims with a slim section, are supported by a box-type swingarm at the rear and a traditional fork at the front. The braking system features a single disc at the front and rear: the large front disc seems to be bitten by a double-piston caliper. The technique will be shared between the two versions.

Aesthetically they can be seen clearly references to the Triumphs already in production: double headlight of the naked above all, a look that is difficult to confuse created on the Speed Triple and then extended to the Street. Tank and tail take inspiration from the Street Triple. The fairing still has some camouflage, but the design seems to be quite faithful to the only faired one in the price list, the Daytona 675; the shape of the screen is particular, close to the shape of the one mounted on the new Honda CBR600RR. We'll see once the veils are removed.

The rumors speak of powers in the vicinity of 30 CV and the name could recall those of Daytona for the faired variant and Street for the naked one. The start of sales should take place starting from 2015.
