The motorcycle

The version that recalls the well-known actor and stuntman, as well as a fan of motorcycles and engines, is based on the renewed one Triumph Scrambler 1200XE, enriched by a list of accessories. The new model features an inertial platform (IMU), featuring cornering ABS and cornering traction control solutions. The engine is a 8 cc 1200-valve parallel twin evolved considering the legislation Euro 5. The expressed power reaches 90 horses at 7.250 rpm and the torque peak is 110 Nm at 4.500 rpm.
The Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition will be available in sunshine 1.000 unit globally, each with a machine-engraved serial number on the handlebars and an exclusive Steve McQueen laser signature. Also reported was a certificate of authenticity linked to the chassis identification number, signed by Triumph Motorcycles CEO Nick Bloor and the legendary actor's son, actor Chad McQueen.
Taking inspiration from the iconic Triumph TR6 racer, which became famous in the barbed wire jumping scene in the 1963 war film “The Great Escape”, the Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition has been defined together with the McQueen family, as indicated. The historic Triumph TR6 was chosen by Steve McQueen to be used in the film and was built by a Triumph dealer in the UK and by ISDT winner Ken Heanes, adding robust dedicated suspension.

The limited series example has a specific appearance characterized by a stainless steel fuel tank Competition Green with brushed knee recesses, a Steve McQueen tank graphic, a brushed aluminum Monza tank cap, 'heritage' Triumph logos, a brushed aluminum tank strap and hand-painted gold piping. Among the original accessories fitted ex-factory is an aluminum front mudguard present in a high position, with a Competition Green finish like the rear mudguard.
The technical basis is that of the Scrambler 1200 XE. In this case, protection bars for the engine and an additional grille to protect the radiator are included, which is also functional for the air flow. Also reported is a brown saddle with stitching and Triumph logo.
The Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition is ready for the adoption of the My Triumph Connectivity System accessory, allowing connection via app with the smartphone and interaction with the vehicle.
