The specimen Triumph Rocket 3 remains the protagonist in the new episode connected to the series Triumph Factory Stories. This time we're talking about chassis.

aluminum frame

To accompany us in the film proposed by Official Triumph Motorcycles it's always the same Chief Engineer Stuart Wood. After the video dedicated to engine, at the center of the episode proposed on this occasion is the constructive approach.
The weight of the new Rocket 3 GT and Rocket 3 R it is 13% smaller than the previous generation, with a weight saving of over 40 kg. The basis of the project is an aluminum frame, studied together with the advanced design, in consideration of the same torque/weight ratio over 25% higher compared to the direct competition, as reported. On a chassis level, there are adjustable 47 mm Showa forks and manageable Showa rear suspension. The tank is separate, so the braking system includes Brembo Stilema® calipers.

165 horsepower engine and various technological systems

The cited versions they are driven by a heart made up of three cylinders of 2.500 cc that generates 165 horses at 6.000 rpm. A figure 11% higher than a similar unit placed on the previous generation, therefore 221 Nm of torque at 4.000 rpm. All compared to a lower weight, as mentioned. Highlighted factors also include a torque-assist clutch and ride-by-wire accelerator. In this regard, the acceleration time of a specimen is notable Rocket 3R, highlighted through a dedicated video. A 0-60 mph sprint completed in 2,73 seconds. The technological solutions listed also include LED headlights, a second generation TFT instrument panel, four driving modes and an IMU inertial platform.
The examples are distinguishable by specific characteristics, taking into account an aptitude for constant running on the GT version, the driving position and other aspects such as the generous beach bar handlebar with internal cables, the single-sided swingarm with offset shock absorber and other details designed to optimize overall comfort. On the Rocket 3 R you can see a "flat" handlebar similar to that of the roadsters, suggesting an equally connotative style more detached from a tourist guide. On the Rocket 3, however, the position of the footrests can be managed on two vertical levels (0mm / -15mm), as well as on the Rocket 3 GT via foot controls on three horizontal variants (-25mm / 0mm / + 25mm), as indicated.
