Triumph Motorcycles come back in 2021 in British Supersport Championship to support the team Performance Technical Racing in an official form, as reported.

A new sporting chapter

Triumph Motorcycles will give official support to PTR by working on the development of the bike, towards the next commitment in the British Supersport Championship. Work directed at an exemplar based on the model Street Triple RS and in particular on the Triple da engine 765 cc, in light of the performance and reliability demonstrated in the Moto2 World Championship.
The competition team “Triumph – PTR”, therefore, will be the result of the new collaboration between the Hinckley brand and the team led by Simon Buckmaster, already a protagonist in high-level competitions such as the Supersport World Championship or the legendary Isle of Man TT.
In this project the aim is not only to bring the historic brand back into one of the most prestigious contexts of international motorcycling linked to the British Superbike, but to obtain promising data and results in the shortest possible time which will already allow 2022 a return to Supersport World Championship, reportedly.
