In October, from the analysis of the performance of Italian profiles, carried out according to the two metrics of engagement and new fans/followers, it emerged that brands in the sector obtain the best performances during important events such as the launch of new models, sponsorships and initiatives details.

As regards page engagement, i.e. engagement weighed on the number of fans, Triumph Motorcycles Italia triumphs, generating a high level of interactions thanks to the partnership with David Beckham and the launch of the new Bonneville motorcycle. Following in second position is the Michelin page which reaches the peak of interactions in conjunction with the World Rally Championship (WCR) and in third place is Peugeot which generates an explosion of interactions thanks to the sponsorship of #XF9. This result, very important for the two-wheel sector, arrives on the eve of the 73rd edition of Eicma, set up on an area of ​​58.400 m1412, with 45.000 exhibitors and brands represented, 69 trade operators from all continents (with 19% Europeans, 9% Asians and 6000% Americans) and over XNUMX information operators .

Alone it represents 53% of the European turnover with a turnover of 3,8 billion euros, considering only the manufacturers who have their own production plants in Italy. The sector then employs around 15.000 workers, equal to 56% of the European workforceto. As regards parts and components, Italy represents 66% of the European turnover, equal to 1,6 billion euros, and employs 14.600 people, i.e. 71% of the staff employed throughout Europe. The first 10 months of the year recorded 100.250 scooters sold, for an increase of +5,8% compared to January-October 2014, in addition to 58.526 motorbikes equal to +14,1%. However, mopeds (50cc) are still in decline, stopping at 21.035 registrations and marking -13,8%. In the first 10 months of 2015, a total of 179.811 units were sold in Italy (registrations of registered motorbikes and scooters + 50cc vehicles), equal to +5,5% compared to the same period of 2014.
