The edition 2020 of Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is expected on 27 Settembre. The focus is on men's health and the proposed edition takes on particular relevance in the context of great challenges, also considering the period.

The initiative and Triumph Motorcycles

Triumph appears as the main partner of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in support of the event, encouraging every Triumph enthusiast to spread the message of the DGR, that is, have fun and donate according to their possibilities to support a cause of common interest, in full compliance with the regulations present in different countries. According to the information, Triumph will donate four motorcycles from the Modern Classic range to the project, donated to the 3 major fund-raisers and the winner of the Gentlefolk Competition.
Furthermore, Triumph, through its social channels, will propose the hashtags #DGR2020 and #ForTheRide to interact with interested parties and influencers involved in the project, making this event even more interesting. Given the current situation conditioned by the pandemic, the 2020 DGR will be focused on the individual motorcyclist and on the desire to actively take part in the event with the same spirit.

Various motorcyclists are therefore invited to wear their best clothes and ride their motorbikes alone, symbolically taking part in a global event to raise funds for scientific research into prostate cancer and for the provision of psychological support to sick people.
The event was born in Sydney, in Australia, by Mark Hawwa. An event inspired by an image of Don Draper, from the Mad Men series, next to a classic motorbike and wearing one of his best suits. So the invention of a "themed" motorbike tour to counteract certain stereotypes linked to motorcyclists, sending a unifying message also linked to health. Since 2012 the number has grown constantly and in the last edition 6 million dollars were raised with 116.000 participants in 104 countries, as mentioned.
