Triumph: engine supplier for another three years of the Moto2 World Championship
From the 2022 to the 2024
For another three seasons, from 2022 al 2024, Triumph Motorcycles will continue to supply engines to 3 cylinders da 765 cc like Exclusive Engine Supplier of the FIM Moto2™ World Championship.

On the basis of the results obtained, considering the successful collaboration with Dorna, the feedback from the professionals and the passion highlighted by the numerous fans of the English brand, the commitment with a contract for further 3 years, alongside Dorna and ExternPro,.
The use of the triple engine has allowed the Championship a surplus of power, performance and competitiveness. Considering Dorna's vision in bringing the Moto2™ class closer to MotoGP™, aspects such as the increase in horsepower and torque and the use of an advanced electronic package represented interesting elements for the riders, envisaging a possible transition to the premier category.
The Triumph engines have also allowed several records to be set, for example 14 different riders have triumphed on at least one occasion from 2019 to today and 34 lap records have been recorded on the circuit, including records improved several times year after year; without forgetting the achievement of a speed above 300 km/h for the first time in the series. The current record is 301.8km/h at Phillip Island, Australia.
Since the 2019 season, the beginning of the collaboration with Dorna, Triumph Motorcycles has been supplying the teams with triple 765 engines optimized for competitive activity, derived from the 3-cylinder road engine that powers the refined Street Triple RS sports roadster. Through constant development, the engine in Moto2™ configuration currently offers over 140 horsepower. An increase of 17% compared to the standard engine, as reported.
