Triumph Explorer by Jakusa Design, Chappie inspires British two-wheelers [PHOTO]

Great work by the paint department

Triumph Explorer by Jakusa Design – This concept from Triumph, the Explorer by Jakusa Design, is an interesting step towards its wilder side. While most rat bikes have a "beaten up" look, deliberately aged and antiqued, this Tiger Explorer has a very different attitude. We are talking about a two-wheeler perfectly integrated into the not too distant future, presented by the creators of Chappie, and this Tiger Explorer seems like the ideal bike for this scenario. The funny thing is that Tamas Jakus played very little with the structural changes, preferring work on the magic of its paint shop.

Inspired by Jakusa's Chappie, the Triumph Explorer is great proof that using colors and painting creatively can produce impressive results. A great concept bike doesn't necessarily just involve a lot of hacking, cutting and welding, and this is the bike to prove it. Jakusa Design created a more compact fairing for the Tiger, adding blue LED lights that replicate Chappie's "eyes", while the bars that frame the headlights remind us of the robot's face. The front mudguard flanked by the fog lights has been replaced by a more spartan one, with an oval cut made from pieces of flat metal, while the lights have been raised and attached to the front grille. The windshield is also gone, as are the mirrors and hand guards. The passenger seat has been trashed and replaced with two blades that prefer to repel pursuers rather than accommodate a person. The alloy wheels, however, are rather aggressive.
