To participate in the competition and compete for success, it will be necessary to register on the portal www.gentlemansride.com where information on the initiative is available.
Triumph Motorcycles has supported the important cause for 8 years, allowing over 300.000 motorcyclists passionate about elegance and classic two-wheeled specimens to share a passion, while highlighting the need to support medical research against prostate cancer and in favor of male mental health.
Also on this occasion, the donation of four motorcycles from the Modern Classic family is planned: three: to the best “fundraisers” globally and, as mentioned, a special one Thruxton RS developed for 10 anniversary of the DGR to the winner of the Gentlefolk Competition.
Given the varied level of anti-contagion restrictions present internationally, the original format of The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride will have to vary to protect the health of participants. From now on, participants are invited to observe the rules in force on social distancing and circulation. Where it is not possible or a different participation is recommended, the format remains confirmed “Ride Solo Together” last September. Further information, as reported, will be available by consulting the website www.gentlemansride.com.
The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride she left in 2012 in Sydney, Australia, from an idea by Mark Hawwa. Inspired by a photograph with a portrait of an elegant motorcyclist riding his vintage example, Mark decided to create a themed event useful to counteract some stereotypes regarding motorcyclist rallies, also and above all through the mechanics of fundraising for important purposes such as scientific research.
Since then, numerous motorcyclists have symbolically reunited globally. There are over 300.000 riders and well over $27 million in fundraising to date, according to reports, aiming to cross the $30 million threshold in the 10th anniversary edition.
