Engine and equipment characterize the new one Triumph Bonneville Bobber. An example of dynamism and character, summarized in the film proposed by Official Triumph Motorcycles on Youtube.

Expressive design

Miles Perkins, Triumph Head of Brand Management, intervenes again in the video after the previous description of the Bonneville Speedmasters. The colors are linked to the specimen Matt Storm Grey/Matt Ironstone, Cordovan Red and a color Jet Black. Among the connotative aspects stand out a new LED headlight, LED indicators, the side-mounted ignition switch, a rear hub that recalls the appearance of a drum brake, the wide and flat handlebars with black-painted bar-end mirrors, the machined fork plate, the rubber fork gaiters, the adjustable levers, the minimalist steel mudguards with central relief and raised edge. The minimalist style is also underlined by the dark painted engine, timing and sprocket covers.
A new frame with the Bonneville logo finished in metal is linked to the instruments and on the renewed dial there are translucent silver-tone indices, added to new indicator lights. Using a slide button you can manage the multifunction display and a range of 77 original Triumph accessories is offered, including saddlery options and a set of bags.

Solutions

The bike is equipped with new front forks increased by 47 millimeters and a front wheel from 16 inches, taking into account a generous rear wheel. Confirmed a dark look and wire spoke design with specific Avon Cobra tires. The braking system includes updated Brembo two-piston calipers and double discs, compared to the single disc at the rear. ABS and switchable traction control are also worth mentioning.
Returning to the saddle, you notice a "hard-tail" appearance reinforced by the suspended seat and the monoshock connected to the cage swingarm. An ergonomic saddle with dry and padded sections, present at a height of 690 millimeters. This can be moved up and forwards or down and backwards. The instrumentation is also adjustable.

Drive and character

The updated engine is a 1.200 cc High Torque twin-cylinder with reduced inertia and more reactive, according to indications. An approval is highlighted Euro 5. A heart with a characteristic 270° firing order and maximum power of 78 horses at 6.100 rpm, while the torque peak is 106 Nm at 4.000 rpm.
An advanced ride-by-wire system allows precise management of the accelerator considering the Road and Rain driving modes. Also connotative are the double air intakes of the airbox located under the saddle, as well as a direct exhaust pipe that hides the catalyst box and the sound projected by the slash-cut silencers.
