Triumph Bonneville Bobber, a highly anticipated new addition to the classic range

Triumph Bonneville Bobber – The new Triumph Bonneville Bobber has arrived. It is a new model in the Classic range and uses the mechanical base of the Bonneville T120. But still everything is new.

The chassis of the new Triumph Bonneville Bobber is new. This is the most important news for us. It's a double cradle made of steel tubes and what changes a lot is the upper part. There is a single-seater saddle adjustable in height and distance from the handlebars. Furthermore, it is now suspended in the air, thanks to an elegant aluminum frame. The instrumentation, made up of a single element and very complete, can be adjusted in inclination.

The new Triumph Bonneville Bobber basically only confirms the engine. It's a Euro 4 twin-cylinder with liquid cooling, 1.200 cc, but now there is a new double-chamber filter box, dedicated ECU mapping and brushed steel exhausts. The electronics are also the same, with two engine maps (rain and road), ABS and adjustable Traction Control, and the tank, but without the side protections for the knees.

The Triumph Bonneville Bobber also changes the swingarm. The new one has an oscillating cage, with shortened travel, and is reminiscent of the bobber frames of the past. But it's not stiff. Because under the saddle there is a horizontal monoshock instead of the two present on the T120. Also new are the handlebars, which are straight and now feature mirrors at the ends, and the size of the wheels. 100 by 19″ at the front and 150 by 16″ at the rear.

The Triumph Bonneville Bobber will be available from early February 2017 in four different colors (red, black, matte black, dark green) at a price that will be revealed on 16 December 2016. The Triumph Bonneville Bobber will obviously be one of the great protagonists of EICMA 2016.
