Triumph Adventure Experience: the first Italian Triumph Off-Road Academy [TEST EXPERIENCE]

In the splendid setting located on the hills ofBeyond Pavese, Murky, was born there Triumph Adventure Experience, a permanent school dedicated to off-road driving of the family's motorbikes Tiger e scrambler, to learn and improve one's driving skills on off-road routes, the aim of which is to make the student aware of their limits, raising the bar of their abilities and instilling confidence and mastery in driving on a theoretical and practical level.

The Triumph Academy

The responsibility of the Academy was entrusted to Gian Luca Canobbio e Angelo Signorelli, two industry veterans with global experience in the field.
The location is located inside the 60 hectares of the winery Marquis Adorno, where a training camp was held 5 hectares and a circuit of 2.200 meters, in a wild area that naturally reproduces all the conditions and difficulties of off-road driving, with all types of surfaces and obstacles.
in 27 hectares surrounding areas, routes have been studied that go from 10 a 100 km, with different degrees of difficulty.

The off-road experience on the Scrambler 900

I had the pleasure of trying this new experience using one Scrambler 900 in off-road mode, i.e. without any electronic control and after a brief technical briefing with the instructors, where in particular the driving position was illustrated, rigorously standing, when covering the different slopes of the terrain, I started the first trial.
To become familiar with the vehicle, I did a couple of laps on a small tape circuit designed down to the smallest detail to reproduce the different situations, even the most critical ones, encountered in off-road driving.
Afterwards I did some exercises to improve driving agility. The first consists of performing a slalom between the cones to understand and manage the weight of the motorbike on the strait by playing with the clutch, while the second, innovative in the sector, passes between some pendulum inflated balls.
As part of the course, extremely critical situations are also reproduced, for example how to react when the motorbike stops going uphill, which I was able to personally experience.
The experience ended with a long ride through vineyards, mule tracks, steep ups and downs and narrow asphalt roads, in a spectacular panoramic setting.
I would like to underline that, despite my predisposition for road motorbikes, I considered this particular experience very interesting for those who want to deepen the technique and make the most of the potential of motorbikes suitable for this type of route, pointing out that participants will be able to take part in the course with your own motorcycle, which must necessarily be suitable for the experience and equipped with knobby tyres, or by renting one of the 10 motorcycles made available by the organisation.
