Reported by Toyota Motor Corporation the launch of the electric personal mobility vehicle C+walk T. A three-wheeled example of the C+walk series, on sale at Japanese Toyota dealers from 1 October 2021, also with leasing and rental solutions.

The C+walk T includes levers on both sides of the steering wheel, through which you can manage starting, accelerating, decelerating and stopping. The controls have been developed ergonomically, making their use intuitive. There is also a control panel to observe the speed and battery charge level. The operating system is activated by holding a special key over the recognition area, after activating the lithium ion battery, which is removable and can be fully charged in approximately 2,5 hours using the charging device 100V ACaccording to the instructions.

The dimensions of the vehicle are compact and comparable to those of a single individual, given a length of 700 millimeters and a width of 450 mm. Features a low, flat base that only reaches 150 mm tall. A two-tone vehicle, equipped with a black bodywork combined with a warm gray on the resin parts. It is designed to be driven standing with a steering stem that joins the upper part of the front fork to the lower part of the steering wheel, which is in turn connected to the resin body.

This electric vehicle it is equipped with puncture-proof tires and among the interesting solutions are obstacle detection sensors to avoid collisions with objects or pedestrians with visual warning on the display panel and also acoustic with a deceleration of the vehicle at around 2 km/h, therefore support for safe driving. Also included is a steep slope detection function that automatically decelerates the vehicle and a control function that detects steering angles and limits speed.

The three-wheeled vehicle (one front and two rear) is designed to be used in pedestrian areas and can travel approximately 14 km on a single battery charge. When the steering wheel is turned a maximum of 90 degrees, the vehicle can turn in place, given a minimum turning radius of 0,59 m. There are five different speed settings from 2 to 6 km/h, with an additional setting of 10 km/h for the more experienced.
If you are considering its use in companies, the C+walk T can travel inside and through large structures. Finally, with the updating of the relevant laws and regulations, the C+walk T could also be authorized for circulation on public roads in the future.
