TomTom: the Rider550 and Road Trips at EICMA 2018 [INTERVIEW]

On this occasion, we talked about it with Joseph Iemmolo, Country Sales Manager Italy of the brand.

The Road Trips community

The TomTom Rider550, in addition to indicating the road to follow to reach a destination, offers something new, called Road Trips. "A platform with hundreds of routes certified by TomTom, for cars, motorbikes and campers – explains Iemmolo – Advice on the best coastal and mountain roads, where you can see beautiful views, or enjoy excellent lunches along the way, with restaurants certified by TripAdvisor".

The future of TomTom and navigators

This innovation will not remain unique, given that this is precisely the path to follow for the company, also for the future"Navigation has now transformed, we want to provide a series of services and travel, therefore, becomes a fundamental point for TomTom".

As happened with the Rider550, without the need for computers or cables, but via WiFi: “Many hated the times of downloading a map onto the TomTom. Thus, without having to connect to a computer anymore, you can find the routes on the Rider directly from your smartphone".
