Examples and faces of the legendary Paris-Dakar are protagonists in Legnano, on the occasion of the third edition of “Once upon a time there was the Paris Dakar”, fourth international gathering “Honda Africa Twin Marathon”, scheduled for Sunday September 18th. The Jubilate ETS Musical Association, as part of the "Music and Motors" event, organizes an event which includes the presence of drivers who participated in the famous raid and the exhibition of two-wheeled models and also three trucks that took takes part in the Dakar.

The event

The event, organized in collaboration with Honda Motor Europe Ltd. Italia, Moto Macchion, Lavazza Motolab and Bcc di Busto Garolfo and Buguggiate, will have a charitable purpose with a fundraiser for three scholarships from the Jubilate music school.
According to the program, give 10:00 an exhibition of historic motorbikes is planned in via Abruzzi 19. The event is scheduled in front of the Jubilate music school, in via Abruzzi 19 in Legnano, allowing interested parties to admire various examples of the Dakar and meet the protagonists of the legendary race.
Among the expected names: Alessandro “Ciro” De Petri who took part in ten Dakars, winning 19 stage victories, as well as coming first in three Pharaohs Rallies and two Tunisia Rallies; the equally expert Franco Picco who has raced ten Dakars on a motorbike, coming in second place in two editions; then again Luciano Carcheri who, between competition and hiking commitments, has traveled over 100.000 km on a motorcycle on the African continent.
Also expected are Gianpiero Findanno and Aldo Winkler with six and seven Dakars under their belt respectively; Antonio Cabini who competed in the Dakar both on a motorbike but also driving a truck and who will be present with the vehicle with which he raced in the 2022 edition; Silvia Giannetti, protagonist in the enduro who also competed in three Tunisian Rallies, three Moroccan Rallies, three Pharaohs Rally and two Dakar Rally, finishing in second and third position; the expert Renato Zocchi who was the first Italian to run the Dakar; together with other names such as Carlo Alberto Migliazza; Roberto Boano; Ermanno Bonacini; Emanuele Cristanelli; Patrizio Fiorini; Beppe Gualini, Beppe Macchion; Roberto Mandelli, Luca Roberti; Marco Sartori; Walter Savio; Giovanni Stigliano; Claudio Torri; Oscar Mor was present with the Iveco truck with which he took part in the Dakar and Romolo Ciancamerla, the manufacturer of the Gilera engine, according to the press release.
