From his introduction on VFR1200F in May 2010, technology Honda of the sequential dual clutch transmission (Dual Clutch Transmission) has rapidly gained popularity and diffusion, establishing itself among a growing number of motorcyclists all over the world.

Considering Europe alone, almost thirteen thousand customers have chosen this sophisticated option for the gearbox of their Honda motorbike.

In 2012, four new models equipped with a sequential dual-clutch gearbox were introduced into the Honda range 'Dual Clutch Transmission': Integra (as standard equipment), NC700X, NC700S e Crosstourer have been added to the updated version of the VFR1200F. Some data can help to better understand its growing diffusion at a European level:

  • the very popular NC700X saw the monthly percentage of sales of the version with 'Dual Clutch Transmission' steadily grow, from 10% in April 2012 to 44% in February 2013;
