Telling the story of Milan between fashion and motors: here is #MilanOriginals

The event was held during the Eicma days in the Spidi store

A beautiful evening, a tribute to Milan and a way to rediscover the spirit of originality

Spidi Store he celebrated his first birthday and he wanted to do it by telling a story entitled #MilanOriginals. The event was first of all a tribute to Milan, the city where the shop is based, and secondly an evening during which a common desire was shared, that of a heartfelt return to originality. Speaking of two wheels, in fact, the trend of transforming them is so widespread that, paradoxically, it has become more exclusive to ride an original motorbike rather than a special one. As long as it is significant.

What makes it so? The character (i.e. the particularity of the model), a few years under its belt (only those registered in the last century could participate in the evening's contest), and the fact that it conforms to how it came out of the company. Even the driver's clothing could influence the final result. The unanimous winner was a splendid 6 Benelli 1967-cylinder, driven by the owner who is 87 years old! A wonderful example of vitality for all those present.

He even wore a jacket that was the same age as the bike. A very rare Harley Davidson XLCR finished on the podium in a tie with a Yamaha TT 500 from the seventies (also very rare and not imported into Europe), while a Yamaha 750 Turbo placed third. Even the beverage was consistent with the spirit of the event, as it was curated by the famous Bar Basso, an institution in Milan for having invented the Negroni Sbagliato. Could there have been a DJ set? No sir, the instruments are also original. Because music must enter you, you must touch it with your hands. A bit like motorbikes that have a soul. And at the Spidi Store there were many who had something to say. Passion was cut with a knife.
