Tacita T-Race in three versions, as standard...silence

Having passed the approval tests, Dekra is ready for eco-off-roading

The all-Italian company that produces it is called Tacita, a brand that is a whole program, T-Race instead it is the name chosen for the motorbike, the first 100% electric motocross motorbike developed in Italy; obviously this motorbike fits right into any conversation about sustainable mobility and renewable energy.

T-Race is not a real novelty, in the sense that it had already been brought to Eicma 2013 and recently saw the catwalk of Ever 2014, “green” salon of the Principality of Monaco, at the “Moto Club Monaco” at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. But the most important news is that Dekra, a leading global organization specializing in professional safety and consultancy services for the automotive industries, has just Successfully T-Race approved which is therefore preparing to debut on the market in three versions: cross, enduro and rally.

The Dekra tests subjected the made in Italy motorcycle to braking tests at 30, 60, 80 and 90% of the maximum speed, with and without engine braking and in the heaviest load configuration, i.e. with rider, passenger, front and rear batteries. Furthermore, they were also passed the EMC and ECE R100 tests, tests relating to weights, the functionality of the instrument panel and the measurements of the motorbike.

Technically, the Tacita T-Race uses a three-phase asynchronous electric motor in alternating current, with internal cage rotor and liquid cooling, capable of developing 36 CV and 60 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed mechanical gearbox and powered by a Li-Po battery pack offered in different configurations for the three versions. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed mechanical gearbox and fixed to a split single-beam frameor in chrome molybdenum steel tubes.

In short, a truly solid project, which has already seen T-Race even on the race fields as it is the only electric-powered enduro bike to have participated in a African Rally, the Merzouga Rally 2012. But beyond the pleasure of racing, a motorbike of this type also allows you to experience nature and uncontaminated landscapes, preserving its unity and balance; and the House itself is the promoter of these itineraries, all the information on which is available on the website www.tacita.it.
