SYM: three beautiful news at EICMA 2015 [PHOTO]

The new Maxsym 500 is much appreciated

SYM – EICMA 2015 marks a turning point for SYM which presents the new maxiscooter, Maxsym 500 alongside the renovated one Joyride S and the debutante SB300 Café Racer. The new Maxsym 500 is a concept with a sharp exterior design that will attempt to challenge today's thriving scooter market. In terms of design, the new Maxsym 500 wants to recall the ferocious expression of wolves before an attack, with the headlight that should reflect their rigorous gaze, while the wavy layers of the front panel symbolize their erect fur. The turn signal lights are the wolf's ears and the spoiler is, instead, the windswept mane. The aluminum alloy trellis frame design not only showcases the elements of the new Maxsym 500, but also allows for better handling. Fits an upside down fork. The braking system has petal discs and radial mount calipers.

The new Joyride S not only brings changes in terms of appearance to EICMA 2015, but also better performance. There are two variants, 125I and 200i ABS, which will be mandatory with the new EURO 4 regulation in 2016. The compact Taiwanese midi still maintains its usual peculiarities such as the flat footboard, the long and hospitable saddle and the spacious underseat. The new model features CBS-ABS as standard. Maximum power is 10.5kW (125i)/ 13kW (200i), up 9,4% and 14% and fuel consumption is 38,1km/l (in WMTC mode), up 17% ,

The new SB300 aims to make its way into the 300 market, riding the promise of a two-wheeler with a classic and romantic, not to mention unique, character. Its profile and contours demonstrate not only artistic craftsmanship, but also something born to keep up with the times. The single-cylinder, 4-valve, six-speed engine is 278cc and is liquid-cooled with 4 valves. The balancer shaft limits engine vibrations, in order to improve riding comfort. More importantly, the vehicle will have ABS and arrive in 2016.
