#SuzukiGreenFriday: 72 trees planted at La Mandria Regional Natural Park with the proceeds

Support for the project #SuzukiGreenFriday last 25th November, on the occasion of the second edition, allowed us to raise a contribution of over 14.300 euros. A sum donated to La Mandria Regional Natural Park, near the city of Torino. The Park Authority used the money to purchase over 70 plants with which to reforest an area damaged by the storm that occurred last summer.

New trees planted

To celebrate the 2nd edition #SuzukiGreenFriday, inside the La Mandria Regional Natural Park, during the day there was a ceremony for the completed planting of the 72 trees which the Park Authority purchased thanks to the funds raised by Suzuki in the autumn. The event was attended by Massimo Nalli, President of Suzuki Italia and Luigi Chiappero, President of the Royal Parks Authority.
The Green Friday Project allowed the Park to be renovated by planting various trees and shrubs, following the Japanese proverb “Nanakorobi yaoki”, Namely “Fall seven times and get up eight”, which indicates how to react to adversity.

Experts have selected a series of native essences typical of the Po Valley forest, for example the Wild Lime, the Wild Cherry and the Hawthorn, which contribute with scents and shade to making the route of the Oslera Route welcoming, also offering nourishment to pollinating insects support of flora and fauna of the Mandria Park.
Il widespread Suzuki forest reaches the 612 unit, contributing to a reduction in CO2 emissions into the air for a total of approximately 12.240 kg of CO2 per year, as reported.
