Suzuki, V-Strom Off Road Academy: a new season with a renewed motorcycle fleet

The name V-Strom Off Road Academy it immediately highlights the field of action of the official school Suzuki with new models, a calendar made up of various events and, to meet interested parties from various areas of Italy, two selected locations: the Castello di Luzzano in Rovescala in the province of Pavia and the Tenuta di Corbara in Orvieto.

The sole

The training proposal of V-Strom Off Road Academy includes courses designed for those who are new to off-road activity and also for more experienced motorcyclists who want to improve their technique, through the teachings of qualified instructors. The courses are carried out in controlled contexts that allow you to improve safely. On each occasion, members are divided to form homogeneous groups, based on their level of experience with differentiated activities. The exercises are functional to refine sensitivity and have greater control on rough and low-grip surfaces. The school motorbikes are equipped with Capra X knobby tires supplied by the partner Anlas. In 2023 the specimens are used V-strom 1050DE e V-strom 800DE, which feature a 21-inch front wheel and a chassis designed to tackle off-road routes.
There are eight places available in each of the twelve days organize, between 15 April and 1 October 2023. Eight days are scheduled at the historic headquarters of the Academy at Castello di Luzzano in Rovescala, in the province of Pavia. Another four events are scheduled in the new location at the Tenuta di Corbara in Orvieto, in the province of Terni.
The staff of expert instructors coordinated by Andrea Beconi, former professional rider and European Enduro Champion on a Suzuki model, has been confirmed.

How to register and program

Once connected to the official portal of V-Strom Off Road Academy, you can choose the date and bike by following the guided procedure. Once the booking is completed, the interested party receives a confirmation email and is contacted by the Off Road Academy staff to establish the details of the day and decide on the payment methods.
It is necessary to present a certificate issued by the general practitioner authorizing the practice of non-competitive sporting activity and also have adequate technical clothing. The following are required: helmet, gloves, jacket and trousers with the appropriate protections, a back protector and boots preferably with clawed soles.
The course is offered at a price of 350,00 euros (VAT included) and the price includes lunch.
The day's session starts at 09:30 with an introductory briefing focused on the technical characteristics of the models and the fundamentals regarding off-road driving. At 10:00 the practical phase begins on flat ground with grassy ground, where various exercises with increasing difficulty are carried out. After the lunch break the students are engaged in a tour of approximately 40 km, on sections selected based on the weather and ability. It is possible to put into practice what was learned in the morning and verify the qualities of the vehicles in different situations. During the route there will be stops for further information, questions and further advice from the instructors.
