Suzuki V-Strom 800DE: the new Sport Enduro Tourer model at the dealership [PHOTO]

They are arriving at the official dealership network Suzuki the novelties of the Japanese brand. After V-Strom 1050 range for 2023 and the V-Strom 650 Explorer, now it's the new one's turn Suzuki V Strom 800DE. An example at the center of the Sport Enduro Tourer overview, also characterized by a new platform shared with the street fighter GSX-8S, which is also expected soon.

The new example can be booked at the official dealer or online via the Suzuki portal and the Smart Buy system. Offered at 11.500 euros, price including VAT and ex-dealership, the new Suzuki V-Strom 800DE can be dressed in three colours: Yellow Petra, Berlin grey o Black Dubai. The spoked wheels are coated in gold paint.
Standard equipment includes hand guards, LED directional indicators, a protective grille for the radiator and a plastic bulkhead to protect the engine. Various original matching accessories prepared by Suzuki are also provided to accentuate its practicality and versatility when travelling.
From an aesthetic point of view, an evolution of the stylistic features of the historic production can be seen, for example observing the same windscreen adjustable to three positions, the superstructures of the frontal area and the development of the LED headlights.
The motorbike is equipped with a color TFT LCD multifunction screen which houses the instruments and features a variable section handlebar.
The riding position is defined also considering a saddle that can also accommodate a passenger and placed at a height of 855 millimeters, in addition to the rubber-coated footrests. There are also handles integrated into the roof rack and the tank can hold 20 liters of fuel for an estimated range of over 450 km, according to the indications.

The motorcycle features a steel tube frame with Hitachi Astemo (Showa) long-travel adjustable suspension. The preload of the mono-shock absorber can be adjusted by acting on a knob on the right side of the vehicle. The wheels, as mentioned, are spoked and of different sizes. The front one is 21 inches and is fitted with 90/90 rubber, while the 17 inch rear is equipped with a 150/70 specification. The original equipment tires are Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour made exclusively.
The bike is animated by a new 776 cc parallel twin engine with 270° crank mechanism and a patented Suzuki Cross Balancer system to attenuate vibrations. The propulsive heart is managed in an integrated manner with the on-board electronics from Suzuki Intelligent Ride System. This is what they refer to:
the “Cambiarapido” – Bi-directional Quick Shift System;
the Suzuki Easy Start System and “Partifacile” – Low RPM Assist devices;
the “Scegliiltiro” system – Suzuki Drive Mode Selector with three driving modes, ride-by-wire accelerator.
The "Aprisereno" system - Suzuki Traction Control System is also mentioned in the package, allowing the rider to manage the vehicle on dirt roads. The advanced electronic traction control, which can also be deactivated, is characterized by a specific mode G (Gravel), which is added to the three standard ones to propose a targeted slip of the rear wheel during acceleration. The motorbike also features an ABS system which gives the opportunity to select two operating logics and, if necessary, exclude the anti-lock function on the rear wheel.
Engine power reaches altitude 84,3 horses and the couple vertex is equal to 78 Nm.
