Suzuki: the new Burgman 400 arrives between sportiness and elegance [PHOTO]

In the now usual online setting, Suzuki presented the new one Burgman 400 MY22 with the support of 4 internationally renowned Italian illustrators, who were asked to interpret the technical qualities of the medium according to an inspiration that recalls some iconic sports of the next Tokyo Olympics.

The new edition of the made in scooter Hamamatsu combines the classic style of the model with some interesting innovations. The updates start from the engine. It's always the DOHC of 400 cm3 updated and revised with the introduction of Suzuki Dual Spark Technology which adds a second spark plug and an injector capable of best vaporizing the fuel to obtain a significant improvement in combustion, guaranteeing linear delivery in compliance with Euro 5 emissions standards and with reduced consumption. Also introduced traction control. The instrumentation has been updated with an even more functional design, now showing autonomy and instant consumption, also making fuel management easier. From an aesthetic point of view, the lines have not been distorted, but have undergone some small changes, which make the Burgman elegant and sporty at the same time. New colors and with the new satin livery and the new Silver Mat. It will be available in dealerships in the second half of the year, the price has not yet been disclosed.

The ARThletes project and Suzuki Burgman 400

To celebrate the birth of the new scooter from the Hamamatsu company, Suzuki Italia has decided to combine technical expertise, Japanese culture, Italian taste and current events in a new launch project. Get inspired by what's next Tokyo Olympics, there will be an exhibition of works created exclusively by four Italian artists who have demonstrated great affinities with Japanese culture. Lorenza Salamon, gallery owner, and Ale Giorgini, as coordinator of the artists, will curate the exhibition on an authorial level. The chosen technique is that of illustration, for its ability to be current in every historical era, and to influence a wide audience while remaining an authorial artistic expression.

ARThletes is the project that combines art and engines for a high-level cultural partnership. For the exhibition Suzuki he asked Gianluca Folì, Richard Guasco, Francesco Porol e Van Orton to interpret four fundamental characteristics of the new Burgman 400, elegance, sportsmanship, stability and safety, combining them with as many Olympic sports (diving, athletics, artistic gymnastics and fencing) to be represented in 4 unique works which will then become as many liveries for a collectible Burgman.

Suzuki thus celebrates the Olympics and sport with a wide-ranging project, which combines athletic gesture and artistic "gesture", showing that cultural commitment that is increasingly required today and in accordance with the responsibility it is called to face in its role as "corporate citizens".

In an idea for which unconditional creative freedom and sustainable, long-term cooperation are essential to create a true partnership in the cultural field.

The commitment of Suzuki towards illustration is a first step towards an art - illustration - which today rediscovers all its value and all its ability to speak and reach directly to the hearts of people with an extremely varied language: this is why the works in exhibition will be able to take up typical stylistic features of urban writers, or of acclaimed artists such as Basquiat.
