Suzuki SV650X 2018: café racer version of the SV at EICMA 2017
Preview of the European version
Ad EICMA 2017 Suzuki lift the veil from new SV650X which, after the world premiere staged at the last Tokyo Motor Show, is presented at the Milanese motorcycle event for the first time in the European version, with specific and different graphics compared to that which characterizes the model recently shown in Japan.
With a strong look that mixes with neo-retro style, the new Suzuki SV650X represents the main novelty of the Hammamatsu company at the Show. Focusing on an aesthetic that winks at vintage, the SV650X offers a new declination of the well-known and reliable SV650 which in this way diversifies its offer with this café racer version.
Thus the Suzuki SV650X is characterized by a series of modifications that retouch its style starting from the minimal fairing with a rounded profile, the low handlebar, the round single headlight, the new covers for the frame under the tank and the two LED fog lights (optional ) integrated into the fork. The retro evolution of this two-wheeler from Suzuki continues with the new quilted saddle, narrower and stylistically refined compared to the SV650.
As regards the technique, the Japanese brand has worked on a series of aspects, enriching the SV650X with greater tank capacity (increased to 14,5 litres), front and rear suspensions with adjustable preload, brakes with double discs at the front and single discs at the rear, set of stock Dunlop Roadsmart 3s. The engine of the Suzuki SV650 has been confirmed, with the X version of the Japanese motorcycle powered by the well-known 76 HP V-twin engine.
