“Suzuki Save The Green” represents one of the projects carried out by Suzuki Italy in favor of the environment. An annual event that brings together Suzuki Italia employees to do something concrete, collecting waste in a green area.

Many gestures in favor of the environment

There are several environmental projects, in addition to the initiative “Suzuki Save The Green” with which we remember World Earth Day organized every year. Last year it was held in the Industrial Area of Robassomero (TO), in the Mandria Regional Park, where the Suzuki Italia headquarters are located.
Among other activities there is for example the Suzuki Green Friday, which took place last March 24th in Turin, when 30 Japanese cherry trees donated by Suzuki to the Piedmontese capital were planted, thanks to the funds raised as part of this initiative.

Suzuki Motor Corporation has also been active since 2011 in Clean-up the World project, a cleanup campaign with over 8.000 people committed to improving the health of the seas. Activity that will be part of the global project from 2021 Suzuki Clean Ocean Project to raise public awareness.
Suzuki's attention to the environment can also be seen in its online activity, given that the Suzuki Italia website has a low impact with the "sleep" function when the page is not used, mitigating the need for energy required . According to information, this function allows for annual CO2 savings equal to that emitted by a vehicle traveling 1.800 km.
A respect also highlighted by participation in the environmental campaign "I light up less", or even with the involvement of young generations in World Children's Rights Day and with the other initiative Suzuki Bike Day, a party held last 10 July 2021 in Carpegna in the province of Pesaro and Urbino.

The new “Suzuki Save The Green” initiative

Equipped with gloves, pliers and bags, Suzuki employees and their families Saturday April 9 meet to collect waste and redevelop the bank of the Stura river, in the municipality of Caselle Torinese, together with local administrations and citizens of the area.
The Fire Brigade, Local Police and Civil Protection provide support for the timely removal of waste.
Last year, in the Industrial Area of Robassomero, 2,7 tons of waste were removed, to be added to the over 10 tons of waste in urban and rural areas collected during the initiatives.
