An increase of 44,1 billion yen (319,5 million euros, +29,7%) was also recorded for ordinary activities, reaching 192,3 billion yen (1,4 billion euros) on an annual basis (YoY); while the profit attributable to the shareholders of the parent company grew by 14,6 billion yen (105,8 million euros, +14,5%) on an annual basis (YoY), reaching 115,1 billion yen (834,1, XNUMX million euros).

Forecasts revised upwards

Evaluating the July-September period in financial year 2022, net sales for Suzuki increased by 325,9 billion yen (2,4 billion euros, +39,3%) on an annual basis (YoY), reaching 1.154,1 billion yen (8,4 billion euro), with a record in all quarters, thanks in particular to the increase in volumes and the impact of exchange rates. For ordinary activities, growth of 65,1 billion yen (471,7 million euros, +174,1%) was recorded on an annual basis (YoY), reaching 102,5 billion yen (742,7 million euros), while the profit attributable to the shareholders of the parent company grew by 41,1 billion yen (297,8 million euros, +260,2%) on an annual basis (YoY), reaching 56,8 billion yen yen (411,6 million euros).
Although the perception of a possible increase in the risk of global recession has not changed, it should be noted that the forecasts have been revised upwards "to reflect the progress of the first half of the financial year, the revision of unit sales and the weakness of the yen", as indicated on the occasion.

Considering the Motorcycle Division Suzuki (linked to the brand together with Automobiles and Outboards), net turnover increased by 28,2 billion yen (204,3 million euros, +45,8%) on an annual basis (YoY), reaching 89,6 .649,3 billion yen (4,5 million euros); furthermore, the operating result increased by 32,6 billion yen (185,4 million euros, +7,0%) on an annual basis (YoY), reaching 50,7 billion yen (XNUMX million euros) , particularly due to increased volumes in India, improved sales mix/price and the impact of exchange rates, according to disclosures.
