Suzuki protagonist at the MBE 2024: the news from the Hamamatsu company in Verona [PHOTO]

At MBE 2024 we had the pleasure of meeting Paul Ilariuzzi, Director of the Motorcycle and Marine Divisions of Suzuki Italia, who told us about the innovations proposed at the Motor Bike Expo 2024 in Verona.
Let's start with the GSX-1000-GX, presented at EICMA 2023, with Suzuki entering the Crossover segment in a big way, finding much appreciated interest from the public. Thanks to advanced electronic management, super-tested mechanics and an extremely comfortable and effective riding position in the saddle, it is in itself an extremely effective product, but precisely because of this versatility, the Hamamatsu brand has invested further resources to present MBE two new specific versions.

New more specialized versions

These are versions GSX-1000-GX SPORT designed for motorcyclists with a sporty attitude and GSX-1000-GX TOURING for motorcyclists more suited to long journeys. Compared to the bike presented in Milan, both offer heated grips, a comfort saddle and a set of hard bags as standard.

The SPORT version is further differentiated by a smoked plexiglass and a specific exhaust made specifically by Akrapovic with a very captivating sound, while a specific central stand has been dedicated to the TOURING version, particularly useful for those traveling with a full load. Both maintain the sober and captivating line of the standard version while adding something captivating from an emotional point of view.

Djebel, the fascinating past

The Suzuki news at MBE 2024 continue like the emotions that the new one sends back V Strom 800DE, presented here in Verona in the evocative Djebel version linked to the Suzui DR of the '80s. For her, specific Dunlop Trail Max Raid knobby tires were chosen as original equipment, coupled with a specific Akrapovic exhaust with a very engaging sound, which completes the package created for this version of the highly balanced and appreciated medium-displacement enduro. In person, the color combination is very beautiful and recalls the home enduros of the 80s, with a stylistic choice of graphics that is decidedly modern and appreciated by the public.

The family jewels

Paolo Ilariuzzi told us about a 2024 that started very well for the brand which, alongside motorbikes, also brought family jewels from the Auto and Marine sectors to Verona. There were in fact one present Vitara in the premium version called YORU (which in Japanese indicates the moment in which the sky becomes darker at night and the stars become more visible to the naked eye) and a DF 250 KURO marine engine. This, monochromatic in the exclusive "matt black", offers exuberant performance through technologies that allow the best possible overall efficiency.

Charity and collecting

If there is no significant news for the scooter range, we are still happy to tell you about a little gem. Suzuki has decided to auction off the Address 110 scooters (now no longer on the list) used by Alex Rins and Johan Mir in the 2022 MotogGP season in all the paddocks of the world championship circuit, for their internal travel.

In addition to offering fans of the brand the opportunity to purchase these small collector's items, Suzuki will donate all of the proceeds from the auction to the "UGI" foundation (ugi-torino.it) which assists children suffering from oncological diseases and their families. A noble gesture, which Motorionline wishes to share with true pleasure.
