Efficient energy management and greater sustainability for the environment are themes linked to the campaign "I light up less" on Thursday 16 February, At the Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles Day. Suzuki and its dealer network join the initiative for the third year in a row.
The Italian headquarters of Suzuki and the official Car, Motorcycle and Marine dealers in Italy will turn off the lights, limiting energy consumption during working hours.

The news

"I light up less" is a project born from the frequencies of Radio2, from the Caterpillar program, which on 16 February 2005 invited listeners to turn off the lights. A symbolic gesture to celebrate the anniversary of the Kyoto Protocol and promote energy saving and sustainability. Since then, many listeners, companies, bodies and institutions have joined in with various targeted actions in addition to turning off the lights.
Furthermore, we would like to remind you that, with Legislative Decree 17/2022, Parliament has established the National Day of Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles from 2023 on 16 February.

The initiative is part of the actions developed by Suzuki based on environmental respect, thinking about the future. Suzuki and its network also highlight the initiative on social networks using the hashtags #milluminodimeno and #milluminodimenoconsuzuki.
As mentioned, this is a gesture with a symbolic value which nevertheless has a concrete effect because, by containing the energy consumption of its offices, Suzuki and its network of 248 dealerships will avoid the release of over 400 kg of CO2 into the atmosphere, according to what indicated.
