Suzuki Katana MY 2022 and the special GP Edition and Yoshimura SERT Motul Edition: expressions of sportiness

The evolved model of Suzuki Katana and special versions GP Edition e Yoshimura SERT Motul Edition di GSX-S950 e GSX-S1000 they were the most recent two-wheeled innovations introduced by the Hamamatsu brand.

Suzuki Katana MY 2022

New colors embrace the superstructures and the color contrasts stand out with the golden fork sliders and the color of the rims. The aesthetic features remain refined, recognizable and sporty, combined with functional technical and technological solutions such as the new elastic rubber supports on which the handlebars are present, but also the Suzuki Easy Start System and the system “Partifacile” – Low RPM Assist which facilitate starts and departures.
Highlights a new ride-by-wire electronic throttle control that works with the new system “Choose your shot” – Suzuki Drive Mode Selector. Three combined driving modes and each linked to a different engine response, while there are five selectable intervention levels for the system “Aprisereno” – STCS electronic traction control, which can be deactivated if necessary.

Moving on to the transmission, two new features stand out: the system “Cambiarapido” – Bi-directional Quick Shift System, being able to recall the gears without using the clutch and, remaining on the clutch, the introduction of Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) with the sum of an anti-slipping function and an assistance function, mitigating the effort on the lever.
The four-cylinder engine is evolved with updates that accentuate the delivery curve, in accordance Euro 5. The power rises by two horsepower reaching i 152 horses.

Suzuki GSX-S950 and GSX-S1000 GP Edition and Yoshimura SERT Motul Edition

Two special series created on the specimens Suzuki GSX-S950 (also proposed in configuration by 35 kW) to GSX-S1000, distinguishable by the liveries that recall the sporting tradition of the brand in the MotoGP and endurance racing.

The versions are characterized by a large oblique Suzuki lettering that stands out on the side and the single-seater cover for the matching passenger seat is present as standard.
The special series GP Edition proposes the Anniversary livery present on the official Suzukis in MotoGP. A blue associated with a slate gray that characterizes the Team Ecstar specimens.

While the other dresses Yoshimura SERT Motul Edition it is distinguishable by the combination of red and black with white and blue details, recalling that of the GSX-R1000 of the Yoshimura Suzuki Endurance Racing Team Motul.
