The interview with motorcycle sales director Enrico Bessolo
Suzuki presents Katana Black Edition as the main novelty at EICMA 2018, open to the public from tomorrow to Sunday 11th. But there are also some other updated models at the Japanese brand's stand, such as the weakened version of the GSX-S750. We talked about it with Henry Bessolo, commercial director of the motorcycle division.
The Suzuki Katana Black Edition at EICMA 2018
The Katana is a historical model of the Japanese brand, starting from the beginning of the 80s, and now it is brought back into fashion, looking to the past, but with many technical and stylistic innovations. “We propose a black colored version, even more aggressive – Bessolo's words – to emphasize its sporty and sharp character, like the legendary samurai sword".
The bike is equipped with the 999cc four-cylinder from the GSX-R1000, but there have been rumors of a future with a new 700 engine"I don't know, but I think what we have is excellent and one of the best possible bases, with an engine and frame capable of giving the bike incredible agility.".
The other Suzuki news at EICMA 2018
Obviously there is no shortage other models on the stand of the Japanese company: “We have the MY 2019 GSX-R1000 with better techniques and the completely renewed RM-Z250, with an increase in power and revised chassis and braking system – the overview of Bessolo – Furthermore, we are launching the detuned version of the GSX-S750 on the market, which can also be driven with an A2 license".
