Suzuki GSX-S1000GX and GSX-8R: the two novelties at EICMA 2023 [PHOTO]

It opened today EICMA 2023, which will welcome the public until next Sunday at Rho Fiera Milano, e Suzuki is among the protagonists of this long-awaited Lombard event. The Japanese brand, in fact, offers two world premieres: the GSX-1000GX and the GSX-8R.

The Suzuki GSX-S1000GX

La GSX-S1000GX it is the most important novelty from the Japanese company, a model that completes the offer among the maxi. Her line combines the determination of a sports car and the elegance of a tourer in a modern ensemble, with three colors that enhance its personality. On a cycling level, this model brings the first to its debut electronic suspensions never used on a standard Suzuki, which allow the bike to adapt its set-up to the conditions and riding situations.

The motorbike is pushed by four cylinder engine with 152 HP and 106 Nm of torque, combined with the servo-assisted clutch with SCAS anti-hopping. This powerplant is housed in an aluminum twin-spar frame. The new Suzuki GSX-S1000GX will be available in three liveries: Blue Miami, Black Dubai and Green Rio and will arrive in dealerships from the beginning of 2024, with a price of 17.600 euro.

The Suzuki GSX-8R

The other preview brought by the Japanese brand is Suzuki GSX-8R, “a new way of interpreting the concept of a sports motorcycle”. The fairing is the main distinctive element, with a mix between the sporting tradition of the brand and the taut and smooth surfaces. The tapered profile protects the rider from the air and bad weather, while improving stability at higher speeds. The chassis has a wheelbase of 1.465 mm, featuring 5" TFT instrumentation.

The GSX-8R is powered by the engine 776 cm3 parallel twin with 270° timing and DOHC twin-cam distribution with four valves per cylinder. The engine has a power of 83 HP (there is also a detuned version of 48 HP) and a maximum torque of 78 Nm. Among the solutions, there is the Suzuki Cross Balancer, to reduce vibrations. This model will also arrive at dealerships early next year, with a price of 9.700 euro.
