Power of 152 horsepower and 106 Nm of torque

The new Suzuki GSX-S1000GT is present at the 2021 edition of EICMA, the International Two Wheel Exhibition accessible to visitors from 25 to 28 November.

Design

The appearance appears aerodynamic and distinctive, particularly noteworthy is the profiled and taut front, which follows the stylistic evolution already noted with the GSX-S1000 and GSX-S950. There are three matching colors: a “black Dubai” with matte and glossy parts; a “Miami blue” which recalls the sportiness of the brand and an elegant and dark “Las Vegas blue”.
The side bags are also in the same color and can be opened and removed with the same ignition key. They appear visually integrated with the vehicle, looking at the rear section.

Technological and technical aspects

The specimen is equipped with type instrumentation TFT LCD in color from 6,5 inches that can interact with mobile devices. Various functions can be accessed through the Suzuki mySPIN application and the controls located on the left electrical block.
Also highlighted Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) with integrated management of various support solutions. The grouping lists the “Cambiarapido” – Bi-directional Quick Shift System, which allows you to advance or downshift without using the clutch, as well as the Suzuki Easy Start and Low RPM Assist devices to support ignition and starting.
Also functional is the ride-by-wire electronic accelerator in symbiosis with the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), through which it is possible to choose between the three proposed driving modes, therefore a cruise control and an adjustment of the Suzuki Traction Control System to five intervention levels that can be deactivated.
The handlebar is 23 millimeters wider with ends closer to the torso, increasing control and promoting a more relaxed position. The saddle is placed at a height of 810 mm. Vibration attenuation has also been taken care of, as reported. The tank can hold 19 liters and the development appears tapered in the area close to the legs. The curb weight amounts to 226 kg.
The frame is a double aluminum beam with matching steering head and swingarm pivot, taken from the GSX-R1000 example. The suspensions are manageable and have a studied calibration, taking into account the use of new Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 radial tires, developed with a specific carcass for the GSX-S1000GT with High Elongation Steel Jointless Belt technology. The braking system includes a double disc at the front and a single one at the rear.

Thruster

The Suzuki GSX-S1000GT is technically related to the GSX-R family and the engine underlines it. A heart compliant with the Euro 5 regulation that transmits a consistent thrust, thanks to the development work and interventions regarding the throttle bodies, the air filter box, the profile of the camshafts and also the exhaust system. Furthermore, the slipper clutch is assisted with the introduction of the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS), which supports the effort necessary to act on the control.
The power is equal to 152 horses (112 kW) at 11.000 rpm and the torque reaches a figure of 106 Nm at 9.250 rpm.
