While the figures have now been removed again, the data "escaped" from the Hamamtsu house have suggested that the bikes, identical apart from the addition of a fairing for the 'F' version, both have a power equal to 145 HP at 9.500 rpm. Since they are powered by the engine of the GSX-R1000 of the old generation, the new model has re-tuned the engine to satisfy both the "more relaxed" style of the new bikes and the most recent emissions regulations. This is why the figure seems more than plausible.

The SDTV injection system, Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve, has injectors with 10 holes which improve the "pulverization" of the air-petrol mixture and, furthermore, as standard, there is the traction control disengageable and adjustable on three levels, from 1 to 3 with increasing intervention level. The Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F adopt a double beam frame, redesigned and lighter than that of the GSX-R1000, made of aluminum like the swingarm. The double 310 mm front disc is "worked" by 4-piston radial calipers, the brakes are Brembo and the ABS is Bosch.

Among the most interesting features is the compact full-LCD instrumentation which weighs only 275 grams (compared to 320 of the GSR750 and 380 of the GSX-R1000), with white backlighting, while the color variants are: 'Metallic Triton Blue' (Blue), inspired by the MotoGP prototype, 'Sparkle Black/Candy Daring Red ' (Red/Black) and 'Mat Fibroin Gray' (grey).
