The motorbike is removed from the casing that contains it. A first glance, then a more complete look to grasp its shapes, its sculpted features, until listening to it. The new Suzuki GSX-S1000 is the protagonist in a film proposed by Suzuki Moto Italia on YouTube.

The new sports naked

Enrico Bessolo, Motorcycle Sales Director, talks about the advanced model in the video, considering the distinctive design, the technology and the Euro 5 approved engine.
The appearance appears bold and distinguishable, observing in particular the layout of the front light unit with three elements at LED overlapping, but the athletic and stretched profile also catches the eye. The features are enlivened by the conveyors and the design of the tank which can hold 19 litres. The tail is compact and houses double-lens headlights at the rear. There are three color variants: a Blue protagonist in the film which recalls the color linked to motorsport activity; a new Gray Mat it's a Black. The examples marketed in Italy are equipped with single-seat covers in the same color and can be customized using original accessories.

Technological setting

The model is equipped with instrumentation full LCD with specific graphics highlighted by a blue backlight. Also interesting Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) with advanced electronic systems that allow you to exploit its potential. Aspect to also be associated with the ride-by-wire electronic accelerator control and the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), opting between three maps (Active, Basic and Comfort) with different power delivery and response characteristics, depending on the driving style. Five settings foreseen for the new one are then mentioned Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS), making the intervention of the system more responsive and proactive, which limits slippage of the rear wheel. The traction control can possibly be deactivated like the new “Cambiarapido” – Bi-directional Quick Shift System, through which it is possible to switch to a higher or lower gear without acting on the clutch, as indicated. The GSX-S1000 also features Suzuki Easy Start and Low RPM Assist solutions as standard which facilitate starting and starting.
The riding position appears redefined, taking into account a 23 mm longer handlebar with slightly raised ends and 20 mm closer to the saddle surface. This figure a 810 mm in height and also reshaped to support a more upright functional posture for control and driving comfort, also considering the design of the tank.

It features a double-spar aluminum frame with a steering head connected to the swingarm pivot, taking a concept from the GSX-R1000. There are also adjustable suspensions in spring preload and hydraulics with an unprecedented calibration. The KYB upside-down fork measures 43 mm, while at the back there is a mono-shock absorber operated by a linkage and the braking system with ABS includes Brembo monobloc four-piston front brake calipers associated with two 310 mm floating discs, while in the the rear area features a single disk.
The six-spoke aluminum wheels feature new and specific Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 radial tires made for this example.

Thruster

The advanced a 999 cc Suzuki four-cylinder is approved Euro 5, highlighting interventions on the camshaft profile, air filter box and exhaust system. The Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) adds an assistance function to the slipper clutch of the previous model. Achieved a power of 152 horses at 11.000 rpm with a torque peak of 106 Nm at 9.250 rpm.
