Suzuki GSX-R, a Fan Page on Facebook celebrates its 30th anniversary

Suzuki GSX-R – With a new Fan Page on the popular Social Network, Suzuki celebrates the 30th anniversary of the iconic GSX-R series through some images that retrace the long tradition of the Japanese brand's four-cylinder models.

From the first GSX-R750 of 1985 to the GSX-R1000ABS, passing through the GSX-R1100, GSX-R750 and GSX-R600 models, up to the GSX-RR prototype, the new Facebook Fan Page will celebrate a true legend of the two wheels. Page GSX-R 30th Anniversary will enjoy constant updating, with historical photos, videos, articles and unpublished content that will provide followers with the unmissable opportunity to always remain in direct contact with the Hamamatsu sportswomen, a simple like on the page will be enough to know everything about the Suzuki GSX-R, from history to technique, up to the winning tradition on the track, including the conquest of 10 Endurance World Championships, the World Superbike championship in 2005 and the very long trail of successes in the AMA championships. Furthermore, all fans of the GSX-R 30th Anniversary page will have the opportunity to post their own contents, comment on those proposed and share their passion with all their friends.

It all began in 1985 when Suzuki the revolutionary proposes GSX-R750, super sports car with aluminum frame and four-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine, capable of producing 106 hp at 10.500 rpm and with a low weight of 179 kg. In 1986 the GSX-R1100, also designed for sport touring use and, after profound evolutions of both models, in 1992 the GSX-R750 adopts a new, even more high-performance liquid-cooled engine, a solution also taken up in 1993 by the 1100 cc version. The range of Suzuki sports cars is also expanding to smaller displacements, with the introduction of the models only on some markets GSX-R250, GSX-R400 and GSX-R600. However, these models do not directly reach the Italian market. In 1996 the model GSX-R750 changes face, with a new design, the SRAD (Suzuki Ram Air Direct) ventilation system and the introduction of a new double aluminum beam frame which replaces the previous double upper cradle structure - also made of light alloy . The following year, in 1997, the GSX-R600, strictly derived from the larger displacement model. Once the era of the maxi GSX-R1100 ended in 1995, the2001 marks the return to maxi displacements with the new GSX-R1000, which completes a profoundly revised range that shares a highly distinctive family feeling. With a path made of profound technical, cycling and stylistic evolution, aimed at maximum performance, the Suzuki supersport range is also confirmed today in the versionsthe GSX-R600, GSX-R750, GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000 ABS.

For 2015, Suzuki super sports cars are available only in the new livery “Blue GP”, which testifies to the strong link between series production and the technology used on the MotoGP prototypes.
