Suzuki GSX-8S: arrival of the model in Suzuki dealerships announced [PHOTO]

Deliveries of the Suzuki GSX-8S to dealerships. The street fighter, which it shares with the V-strom 800DE a new platform powered by a parallel twin-cylinder engine with 270° crank mechanism, is part of the innovations launched by the brand for 2023 together with the aforementioned V-Strom 800DE and the others V-Strom 650 Explorer, V-Power 1050 e V-strom 1050DE.

The new street fighter

The GSX-8S is present in the segment between the note SV650 and the feisty ones GSX-S950 e GSX-S1000. There are three liveries that cover the streamlined shapes of the model, opting between the dominant colors White Oslo, Sydney Blue (a colorway created for this model) e Black Dubai. The instrumentation is visible both one TFT LCD screen from 5 inch.
From an aesthetic point of view, the sharp fairing, the overlapping development of the front headlights, the lateral conveyors and the compact superstructures are notable. Position lights and indicators are LED type, there is a tank 14 liters and the style is also made distinctive by the minimalist tailpiece and the compact and short exhaust pipe.

An assortment of original accessories is included that allow you to customize the model or equip it with transport solutions.
The superstructures allow you to observe the mechanics of the motorbike, the frame and the seat support structure with a trellis construction made of steel tubes.
The measurements are slightly wider than the average ones for the category, as reported, given a wheelbase of 1.465 millimeters. An aspect that favors habitability with a functional triangulation between handlebars, footrests and saddle. The saddle is present at 810 mm in height and, given its lateral compactness, favors the support of the feet.
The suspension part includes KYB solutions, an upside down fork from 43 mm and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock managed by a progressive linkage connected to an aluminum swingarm. The braking system includes two floating front discs 310 mm with four-piston radial-mount calipers, while behind there is a disc 240 mm.
The wheels from 17 inches they are made of alloy and fit Dunlop RoadSport 2 tires in sizes 120/70 and 180/55.

Moving on to the electronic part, the engine is managed in an integrated way with all the on-board electronics from Suzuki Intelligent Ride System. The following are linked to SIRS:

– the ride-by-wire accelerator;
– the “Aprisereno” system – Suzuki Traction Control System that can be managed on three levels and deactivated;
– the “Cambiarapido” – Bi-directional Quick Shift System, combined with an assisted slipper clutch;
– the Suzuki Easy Start System and “Partifacile” – Low RPM Assist devices;
– the “Scegliiltiro” system – Suzuki Drive Mode Selector with three driving modes.

The propulsive heart is a 776cc parallel twin with DOHC twin-cam distribution with four valves per cylinder. Among the interesting aspects, the Suzuki Cross Balancer is highlighted, a patented system for reducing vibrations. The power reaches altitude 83 horses (61 kW) at 8.500 rpm, while the peak torque is 78 Nm at 6.800 rpm.
The motorbike is also offered in a detuned version 35 kW for A2 driving license holders.
