The new Suzuki GSX-8S it is described in various aspects in a film proposed by Suzuki Moto Italia on YouTube.

A new engine

The motorbike is animated by a 776cc parallel twin with DOHC twin camshaft distribution with four valves per cylinder. Highlighted is a relatively long stroke, 70 mm, for progressive delivery and a full-bodied shot from low revs.
To contain vibrations there is a patented Suzuki Cross Balancer system which involves the action of two rocker arms positioned at 90° with respect to the crankshaft, each capable of preventing the vibrations generated by the individual cylinders.
Also connotative is the 270° crank mechanism, a scheme which, based on the information and taking into account the burst sequence, allows a favorable torque curve for a strong sound.
In compliance with the Euro 5 regulation, the power reaches the 83 horses (61 kW) at 8.500 rpm with a torque of 78 Nm at 6.800 rpm. The engine is combined with a six-speed gearbox with a different ratio compared to the new V-Strom 800DE, another new feature for 2023, as well as an assisted clutch and anti-slipper system.

The specialised farming model

The new street fighter is characterized by superstructures that underline its sporting nature, observing for example the streamlined fairing, the overlapping LED front light unit, the shapes of the side conveyors and the tank and the end part. The panels give a look at the mechanical part and the trellis frame, made up of steel tubes.
There are three liveries combined with these shapes with the dominant colors White Oslo, Blue Sydney and Black Dubai.
The most generous chassis dimensions in comparison with the category are functional for habitability and behavior on the road, also taking into account a balance between weight distribution and set-up.
The bike features a KYB upside-down front fork and a KYB monoshock operated via a progressive linkage with an aluminum swingarm. The braking system includes four-piston radial-mount front calipers, combined with a pair of 310 mm floating discs.
As on the new Suzuki V-Strom 800DE, also on the GSX-8S the engine is managed in an integrated manner with all the on-board electronics from Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS), recalling:

– the “Scegliiltiro” system – Suzuki Drive Mode Selector – with three driving modes;
– the “Aprisereno” system – Suzuki Traction Control System adjustable on three levels and deactivated, the ride-by-wire accelerator;
– the “Cambiarapido” system – Bi-directional Quick Shift System;
– the Suzuki Easy Start System and “Partifacile” – Low RPM Assist devices
.

The wheels are made of alloy 17 inches and fit 120/70 and 180/55 tyres. The range of original accessories is varied.
