Suzuki GSX-8S and V-Strom 800DE: the new features for 2023 introduced in the price list

new Suzuki GSX-8S e V-strom 800DE were presented on the occasion of the 79th edition of EICMA, the recent International Two-Wheel Exhibition. With the'price list update on December 5th, the two Suzuki models are introduced in their respective segments.

The models

The street fighter GSX-8S it is built on a new platform, partly shared with the V-Strom 800DE. The motorbike, distinguishable by its sleek and distinctive design, features a multifunction TFT LCD color display and can be upholstered in three shades Sydney Blue, White Oslo e Black Dubai. The price is 8.900 euros.

The electronic equipment is extensive with various devices managed in an integrated manner by the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System. We highlight: the ride-by-wire accelerator, the “Cambiarapido” – Bi-directional Quick Shift System, the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector – “Scegliiltiro” with three driving programs, the Suzuki Traction Control System – adjustable “Aprisereno” on three levels and can be deactivated and the Suzuki Easy Start System and “Partifacile” – Low RPM Assist devices.

Among the technical aspects, an aluminum swingarm with a wheelbase of 1.465 mm also stands out, favoring habitability and control. The curb weight is 202 kg and the seat is 810 mm high.
The engine is a 776 cc parallel twin with 270° crank it's a patented Suzuki Cross Balancer system to attenuate vibrations. A power of 83 horses with a maximum torque of 78 Nm.

La Suzuki V Strom 800DE, on the other hand, takes shape around the same mechanics, but is distinguishable by its appearance and also by technical aspects such as the fully adjustable Hitachi Astemo (Showa) long-stroke suspension and the spoked wheels, 21 inches in the front area and 17 inches in the rear one.
The aptitude for traveling can also be seen by noticing the windshield which can be adjusted to three positions, the handlebar with variable section behind which stands out the instrumentation with multifunction TFT LCD color display, then the large and welcoming saddle which favors functional triangulation together with the large covered footrests Rubber.

This new Sport Enduro Tourer, available in liveries Yellow Petra, Berlin grey e Black Dubai with equipment that includes hand guards, protective grille for the radiator, lower support for the engine and luggage rack, it is offered at 11.500 euros.
An electronic part is also highlighted with the Suzuki Traction Control System - "Aprisereno" which offers an additional function specific for off-road called G (Gravel). The action of the ABS in this case is linked to an intervention threshold that can be managed on two levels and can be deactivated on the rear wheel on an off-road route.

The twin-cylinder engine is characterized by a specific tuning, the power in this case reaches 84,3 horses, the couple vertex remains at 78 Nm.
The new Suzuki GSX-8S and V-Strom 800DE can be booked through the official dealer network or via the Smart Buy platform, by consulting the Suzuki portal. Both copies are scheduled for delivery starting from next spring. Meanwhile, enthusiasts will be able to observe them at the Première Show, the traveling series scheduled until February 2023, where the new V-Strom 1050DE will also be the protagonist.
