Suzuki: on the occasion of National Tree Day, several Japanese cherry trees were planted

Suzuki Italy , Suzuki Official Network, For the National Tree Day, have supported a project that gives shape to a “Diffuse Forest” of Japanese cherry trees “Sakura” in Italy.

suzuki motor corporation provides a plan for environmental sustainability at a global level and with the Suzuki Environmental Vision 2050 highlights a strategy to reduce the CO40 emitted by Suzuki vehicles by 2% by 2030, and then grow to a 90% reduction by 2050.
The strategy in Italy includes a program of initiatives linked to improving the lives of its customers and those who will approach the brand such as:
– Suzuki Save the Green, day dedicated to cleaning and reclaiming territories defaced by waste and returned to the community;
– participation in the Suzuki Clean up the World projects for the cleaning and protection of coasts and marine ecosystems;
– Concrete actions in company management that aim to raise awareness among employees and their families of more ecological and sustainable lifestyles, encouraging virtuous behaviors such as separate waste collection, responsible use of energy and recycling;
– participation with all 248 Italian dealers in the Radio 2 initiative “M'illumino di meno”;
– The site https://www.suzuki.it with the “sleep” function, which “puts the page to sleep” when not in use, reducing the energy required by the device connected to the site.
The initiative for National Tree Day
I 248 Suzuki Car, Motorcycle and Marine Dealers have joined by committing to planting at least one cherry tree in each location.
Suzuki Italy planted, with the collaboration of the students, two new Sakura cherry trees in the “S. Allende” in Robassomero near Turin, the municipality that hosts the headquarters of the Italian branch of the Japanese brand.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Robassomero Rosalia Mangani, the Headmaster Maurizia Bianco and the President of Suzuki Italia, Massimo Nalli, who on the occasion explained to the students the "Diffuse Forest" project and Suzuki's commitment in preserve nature and the planet.
On this occasion, the Suzuki project reaches 540 units, helping to reduce CO2 emissions in the air for a total of approximately 8.040 kg of CO2 per year, according to information.
