Suzuki: financial results for the 2022 financial year released
In the motorcycle sector increases in turnover and operating result
Recorded an increase in net revenue and net profit regarding Suzuki, linked in particular to more favorable exchange rates and volume growth. Net sales rose by 1.073,3 billion yen (7,61 billion euros), +30,1% on an annual basis (YoY), reaching 4.641,6 billion yen (32,92 billion euros) . Operating profit increased by 159,1 billion yen (1,13 billion euros), +83,1%, reaching 350,6 billion yen (2,49 billion euros) also on an annual basis. Exchange rates contributed to the increase in profit of 100,6 billion yen (713,47 million euros). The result from ordinary activities grew to 119,9 billion yen (850,35 million euros), an increase of 45,6%, reaching 382,8 billion yen (2,71 billion euros). The profit attributable to the shareholders of the parent company also increased by 60,8 billion yen (431,20 million euros), an increase of 37,9%, reaching 221,1 billion yen (1,57 billion euros) .
The results of the motorcycle division
Together with the growth recorded in net sales and operating profit in the automotive and outboard divisions; in that motorcycles net sales increased by 79,7 billion yen (565,25 million euros), +31,4%, reaching 333,2 billion yen (2,36 billion euros).
The operating result then, considering an increase of 18,5 billion yen (131,20 million euros), an increase of 170,2%, reached 29,3 billion yen (207,80 million euros). A record increase of 8,8% was reported for the operating margin.
