Saturday July 10 2021 is scheduled Suzuki Bike Day, an event in which sports and TV personalities will take part on the occasion of a cycling festival organized by Suzuki a Carpegna, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino.

You can sign up to Suzuki Bike Day via a dedicated portal, completing the online form by8 July. Confirmation will take place following the payment of a registration fee, starting from 5 euros per person. The registration fee includes:

– Goody bag: Suzuki bag, Suzuki neck pass, Suzuki bracelet, Enervit products and Snacks;
– Personalized front panel (with your name. NB only for participants who complete their registration by Friday 2 July);
- Insurance coverage;
– Intermediate and final refreshment;
- Health care.

The entire fee will be donated to charity for road users. The proceeds will go to Michele Scarponi Foundation, which finances projects aimed at teaching correct road behavior and respecting the rules.
Each person who participates will be able to travel the route with their own bicycle of any type, including e-bikes. The use of an approved hard protective helmet is mandatory.

the event

Suzuki Bike Day is a non-competitive experience, sponsored by the Italian Cycling Federation and open to cycling enthusiasts in general, engaged on an evocative route. The route is present on the border between Marche and Emilia Romagna and extends for approximately 16 km. A ring which also includes the famous climb to Mount Carpegna with a difference in altitude of 740 m and maximum slopes of 15% at the highest point, 1.367 meters above sea level.
Among the names present are Davide Cassani, Technical Director of the National Teams and some Azzurri who have already announced their participation on their respective social channels, pedaling alongside the members.
Along the route and at Suzuki Village, set up in Conti Square, it will also be possible to meet the World Figure Skating Champion Carolina Kostner, various athletes from the national Short Track team of the FISG-Italian Ice Sports Federation and the television host Marco Berry.
On Saturday 10 July traffic will be interrupted for hours 09:00 13:00, allowing cyclists to travel the route safely. Two groups are expected to leave at 09:00 and 10:30 respectively.
The road will be cordoned off and manned by local volunteers, regulated by signs and equipped with two refreshment points. Piazza dei Conti, the focal center of the event where the starting and ending points of the event will be present, will host the Village Suzuki. Inside the Village it will be possible to find:

– The first refreshment area, with music, drinks and sandwiches, offered by the sponsors who will participate in the event: Enervit, Beretta and Acqua Valmora;
– E-bike rental service (while supplies last), for all those registered who will go to the event without their own bicycle.
– The Accreditation area, where the personalized tables to be affixed to the bikes will be distributed and where, at the end of the route, all participants will be offered free refreshments and the race package will be delivered. The Suzuki branded backpack will contain various gadgets, such as: a Suzuki neck buff, an Enervit bottle, a snack and a bar. Furthermore, the first 100 registrants will receive the official Suzuki-branded t-shirt for the event!
– At altitude, waiting for the cyclists who tackle this iconic pass, there is the famous monument to Marco Pantani, who built his victories here, often without feeling the need to try other climbs: “Carpegna is enough for me. I no longer count the times I've done it while training." declared the Pirate.

The second refreshment area is present at the top, from which to observe the panorama with a perspective on the Republic of San Marino, Monte Fumaiolo, Monte Aquilone and the Marecchi valley, as indicated.
