Scooters of this type are already used on various Italian and French road and motorway sections and inside many tunnels, such as for example the 10 km long Gran Sasso Tunnel, along the A24 motorway in the Aquila-Teramo section, the 8 km long Base Tunnel, along the A1 motorway in the Florence-Bologna section and the tunnels of the A6 and A7 motorways of the Metropole de Grand Lyon. This allows a vehicle like the Burgman 650 to have proportionately one hundred times greater effectiveness than traditional and more cumbersome fire extinguishing systems.
The pulse fire extinguishing system allows you to quickly extinguish the fire using a minimal quantity of liquid extinguishing agent. This is delivered through a pulse water gun which with each shot shoots a liter of extinguishing agent in drops with a diameter of 2 to 200 microns. The great kinetic energy released by the jet facilitates the immediate extinguishing of the flames, while vaporization guarantees a large cooling surface and effective heat absorption. Its range of action is 15 meters, which can be added to the 25 meter length of the pipe that connects the lance to the extinguishing agent tank.
