When choosing a new motorcycle, in addition to performance and aesthetics, the fuel consumption is becoming an increasingly discriminating factor. Because of the continuous increase in the cost of petrol, customers are more attentive to this element and as a consequence they look for a means that can ensure good performance also in terms of fuel efficiency.

suzuki motor corporation therefore chose to meet the needs of its customers, current and potential, communicating the data relating to fuel consumption alongside the technical characteristics of their two wheels.

The procedure was followed to measure consumption WMTC (World Motorcycle Test Cycle), which takes into account different types of routes, both urban, both extra-urban and motorway, of the most representative driving modes the actual use of a motorbike and the riding style of a motorcyclist, characterized by frequent stops, strong accelerations and speeds of one certain entity in sections where permitted.

Furthermore, these tests are carried out on a motorcycle of standard weight, without further equipment, whose consumption data depend on different factors: the riding style, the conditions of the two wheels (wear, tire pressure, maintenance, etc.) , the weather, traffic conditions, the presence of a possible passenger, ultimately a rather large number of factors that influence performance and consumption.

With this initiative, Suzuki once again demonstrates its attention to all motorcyclists, offering them the maximum in terms of consumption, performance, fun, and communicating it in a loud and clear way.

As can be seen in the table below, the Suzuki model that has the most efficient performance from a consumption point of view is the new Inazuma capable of covering 30,4 km per liter of fuel. Conversely, as one might expect, the motorcycle with the highest fuel consumption is the GSXR750, the sportiest two-wheeler with racing DNA from Suzuki. Despite its sporting vocation, the GSX-R still achieves a very respectable figure, reaching a level of 19,5 km travelled, for every liter of fuel.
