Suzuki will take part in Suzuka 8 Hours 2024, scheduled from 19 to 21 July, one of the most hotly contested and prestigious motorcycle endurance races.

Suzuki's demanding challenge in one of the historically most selective motorcycle endurance races aims to accelerate the development of environmentally efficient technologies, but also to collect valuable information for the development of future Suzuki models. 

With 40% bio-based fuel

The particular Suzuki GSX-R1000R will use a 40% fuel of biological origin, which will allow her to compete in the Experimental category, where the use of fuels other than the official WEC one is permitted. Sustainability that will also involve various components of the motorcycle, with the GSX-R1000R running with exhaust, tyres, lubricants, fairings and brakes obtained using sustainable technologies, the development of which involved several of Suzuki's technical partners who took part in this challenging project. 

Driver team still to be defined 

The team that will take part in the 8 Suzuka 2024 Hours is called "Team SUZUKI CN CHALLENGE", composed mainly of Suzuki engineers, and includes the collaboration of Yoshimura Japan. Shinichi Sahara he will be head of the team and project leader, a role he had already held in MotoGP, while the names of the three riders who will alternate on the GSX-R1000R are still being defined.
