Suzuki at MIMO 2023, Paolo Ilariuzzi: “You can breathe passion!” [VIDEO INTERVIEW]

Paolo Ilariuzzi, Director of the Motorcycle and Marine Division of Suzuki Italia, in the interview conducted by the Director of Motorionline, Lorenzo VE Bellini, immediately underlines the passion perceived and felt by the enthusiasts on the occasion of the event MIMO at the Monza National Autodrome. At the 2023 event Suzuki is present, not only with models from the automotive production but with two-wheeled models and with a product from the Marine Division.

The event is scheduled by 16 18 to June and the bikes present at the event are the new street fighter GSX-8S, the sport enduro tourer V-strom 800DE flanked in turn by V-strom 1050DE, therefore the powerful and sporty one Hayabusa. Motorcycle with an evocative name and an aerodynamic design, capable of transmitting strong performance while recalling the power of 190 horsepower.
At the stand it is possible to admire the GSX-8S street fighter, immediately recognizable by its sporty and distinctive design, which partly shares the platform together with the new V-Strom 800DE. The engine is a 776 cc parallel twin with 270° crank and a patented Suzuki Cross Balancer system to dampen vibrations. The torque is 78 Nm, the peak power varies between the two models: 83 horsepower for the GSX-8S and 84,3 horsepower for the V-Strom 800DE. The latter is also the protagonist in test ride activities, only if visitors already have a valid license to drive the motorbike and adequate technical clothing.
Tests are possible on the opening days of the event from 09:00 to 19:00, by registering at the Suzuki stand. The tests are planned on a dedicated 4 km route.
Among the protagonists also featured is the V-Strom 1050DE, a motorbike equipped with a 21-inch front wheel and characterized by a chassis redefined to be able to tackle off-road routes, with an increase in the inclination of the steering head and the length of the wheelbase and of the swingarm, stiffened. A sleek model with long-travel suspension and a seat height of 880 millimetres.
