The book narrates the close link between the evolution of the motorcycle glove and the world of racing, right from the beginning. The year following its foundation, SPIDI was already at the top of international motorcycle racing with Kenny roberts, who won his first world championship in the 500cc class wearing the legendary “Speed”, the first racing glove model produced by SPIDI. The same model that the winners of the following championships Freddie Spencer, Eddie Lawson and Franco Uncini will also wear.

Nicola Dalla Grana – SPIDI CEO: “The idea for the book was born, almost by chance, while researching an old production sample in the company archive. Having opened the first drawers, we found the technical drawings and samples made from my father in the 70s. We realized that there was enough material to set up a museum. So we said to ourselves: why not share this story with a book?”
